About us

Why we do what we do

Thunder Bay Lacrosse League, also most commonly known as TBLL, was founded in 2003 with the hopes of bringing fun, fast, accessible lacrosse to Thunder Bay. Over the years, we have evolved into so much more. From house league to free try lacrosse events, and every moment in-between - we aim to provide a safe, inclusive, and fun environment for all youth!  Every year since our beginning, we have been dedicated to our players - of all capabilities and ages. With high coach to player ratios, we ensure each player gets the best experience possible. We at TBLL love lacrosse and our community, it's why year after year we continue to provide dedicated and accessible lacrosse to not only Thunder Bay but our surrounding areas.

Wanting to try?

Our free community try lacrosse is another way we try and make lacrosse an accessible sport for all athletes. Yearly, we hold dedicated sessions for both new and returning players (ages 6-18) at no cost to the athlete or their families! These sessions are about getting back to the basics and getting a good feel for the ball and stick. With minimum equipment required and no fee's it is a great way to try lacrosse and see what the TBLL is all about. Interested in the community try lacrosse? We encourage you to click the link below to get your name on the waitlist.

Because we love lacrosse so much at TBLL, we offer a variety of try lacrosse sessions in our off season. Our dedicated coaches put together a fantastic dryland training program for hockey and basketball teams! Our 2023/24 season is booked for teams at this time, but if you are interested, please feel free to reach out.

Teachers and youth support workers, are you looking for something fun and different to do? We offer in-school or organization suitable to your needs. We currently have room before the 2024 season!

Local league

Local league, commonly known as "house league", is a fun and recreational league that plays 1-2 times weekly during the season! With our dedicated coaches and volunteers, we aim to provide a safe and inclusive environment for all players, both new and returning.
